About the author

Originally from Yorkshire, Lara moved to Spain in 2004 when she met her husband Chris.

Lara was always a big dreamer as a little girl. She would often make up bedtime stories which she would tell her younger brother and sister. Stories she now tells her own children Raul and Ayla.

In her head she always knew that she wanted to write a children’s book.

When her best friend got pregnant with her daughter Lilly, she decided it was time to start, she wanted to create something special for this magical moment in both of their lives.

Using her vivid imagination and inspiration from her beloved Andalucia an Olivetale was born.
